The R8-Pro is our latest entry-level, light commercial reformer, designed to capture the essence of Joseph Pilates’ original reformers while incorporating modern features.
The "R8" stands for "Retro" (8-wheel) as this reformer replicates many of the key features from Pilates' original designs, including the carriage and foot bar distances, carriage dimensions, spring bar positions, foot bar height, and overall reformer height. Although the R8-Pro uses height-adjustable rope risers and our Silent Ropes instead of traditional leather straps, its design ensures the pulley position closely mirrors that of a classic machine.
Despite its nod to classic features, the R8-Pro is a contemporary reformer equipped with four foot bar heights, including a flat position, and numerous rapid adjustment systems.
The R8-Pro comes with four springs and has space for an optional fifth spring. It also includes our patented Rapid Change spring bar with three spring bar positions, allowing for quick and seamless carriage adjustments. The ropes on the R8-Pro can be quickly adjusted using our Pro Rope adjusters, conveniently located behind the shoulder rests.
The R8-Pro is our first reformer in the “light commercial” category, making it perfect for both home studios and commercial setups with light usage. The R8-Pro warranty covers domestic use and includes limited light commercial use—up to 20 hours per week. This reformer is incredibly compact without compromising on quality or performance. The R8-Pro can be free-standing with an optional Jump Board and is portable with wheels for easy repositioning or moving, making it an excellent choice for a multi-purpose studio.
